CANTERBURY KENNEL CLUB

The women members of the Canterbury Kennel Club met at Ballantynes tea rooms to hold their bimonthly and annual meeting. There were- 40 members present. Mrs N. M. Izard, a newcomer to Christchurch from Wanganui, gave an interesting talk on the Airedale terrier. The breed was made in Yorkshire and takes its name Airedale, from that part of the county. The weight of the Airedale should be about 451 b, but, Mrs Izard pointed out, in common with many other breeds, in New Zealand, the weight and size had greatly increased.
