NEW BRIGHTON FUND
The Mayor of New Brighton (Mr E. L. Smith) presided at a meeting of t King George V Memorial Fund Committee, held in the Borough Council Chambers. The Mayor reported that the canvass of the borough had raised £67 5s Id. made up by public subscriptions £4l 7s 7d, postal employees 17s 6d, and council grant £25. The Central Brighton School had raised approximately £5, and the North Brighton School £3. FUND REACHES £7748 IN OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.> DUNEDIN. June 4. The Mayor (the Rev. E. T. Cox) announced to-day that the King George V Memorial Fund in Otago was £7748, including £5662 in Dunedin, and £2086 in the rest of Otago and Southland. A donation of £1 to the King George V National Memorial Fund has been received by “The Press” from “C.J.8.”
