OLD MINISTERIAL RESIDENCE

* CONVERSION INTO DENTAL CLINIC EXPANSION OF SERVICE AT WELLINGTON (FBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 3. After having served as a residence for the New Zealand Prime Minister and Ministers of the Crown for 53 years, the old Ministerial residence at No 260 Tinakori road has been converted into a school dental clinic and will be used as an annex to the main Wellington dental clinic. Workmen have been engaged in refitting the residence during recent weeks, and about 40 chairs have been installed, both on the ground floor and upstairs. The new clinic will be used this week, and the extra accommodation will greatly assist in relieving the congestion at Wellington. . . The conversion of the Ministerial residence has been brought about by the expansion of tl - school dental service. The Government intends ».o provide a full school dental service within five years of its assumption of office, and it is estimated that it has reached the half-wa> mark in its objective. The Lambton quay building will still remain the training headquarters for nurses, and practical work will be carried out there and at No. ?60 Tinakori road also.
