DUKE OF WINDSOR’S WEDDING

♦ EARLIER CEREMONY NOW ARRANGED HEAVY MAIL OF PARCELS AT CHATEAU MONTS, June 1. Mr' Herman Rogers announced today that the Duke of Windsor’s wedding will take place at 11.30 a.m. on Thursday, instead of at noon, presumably as it will be more convenient to catch the train. George Ladbrook, the Duke’s former chauffeur, has arrived. He will drive the Duke and his bride to a point where they will entrain, but which is still a secret. A heavy morning mail of parcels and letters was delivered at the Chateau yesterday. There is great activity at the post office, where £IOOO in stamps are ready to be stuck on 25,000 letters for collectors in Britain and the United States, who are anxious to secure the postmark “June 3.” Newspapermen are arriving from all nart- of the world. Wedding gifts continue to pour into the Chateau de Cande, a motorvan making five or six journeys daily from Tours. Gifts from the Roval Family arrived to-day. Crowds of sightseers are still flocking to the district.
