New Streamlined Express The London, Midland, and Scottish Railways’ new streamlined express train, the Coronation Scot, made its first appearance as a complete unit last week. The locomotive is expected to dAw a train weighing 297 tons at a speed of more than 100 miles an hone. Mrs Putnam Mrs Amelia Earhart Putnam completed •repairs to her aeroplane and took off at dawn yesterday from Miami (Florida) for Ran Juan (Mexico) on the first stage of her world flight. General Election in Holland The general election in Holland last week passed off calmly in contrast with the warmth of the campaign. The result was a victory for the Prime Minister (Dr. H.
