Anna Martin, of New York City, eats for a living, sometimes as many as 10 meals in a day. She is employed by a chain of restaurants and patronises New-York’s hotels, restaurants, tearooms, and sandwich shops, duplicating her breakfast five times and then partaking of another five luncheons or dinners. Her object is to check up on the quantity and quality of food served, prices, courtesy, and swiftness of the service, and every possible detail which would help her employers.
