TENTATIVE PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED CYCLING EVENTS FOR SEASON A tentative programme of cycling events was drawn up at a meeting of the North Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Athletic, Cycling, and Axemen’s Union last evening. Mr W, J. Walter presided. The programme is as follows: — September 11—Invercargill to Gore. September 18 —South Island championship. October 2—Christchurch to Timaru. October 9—Waimate to Christchurch. October 16—Mairehau. For misconduct during a three-mile cycling race at the Cust snorts on Easter Saturday, R. S. Weir, R. Sutherland, and U. Milner were disqualified for six months as from the beginning of April.
