PACK RUNS CONTINUED TWO CLUBS HOLD NOVICE RACES The cross-country clubs held further pack runs on Saturday. Some of the clubs included hill work in the trails, most of which were fairly long. Fast packs made good time, most of the runners having begun their training in earnest by now for racing events, which are not far ahead. The Baptist and Methodist Clubs held novice races. METHODIST Members of the Methodist Club were the guests of Dr. J. H. Simpson at a run from his home In Purlrl street, Rlccarton. C. S. Simpson and S. UNIVERSITY The University packs were the guests of Canon and Mrs Stephen Parr, College House, Rolleston avenue. F. C. p. Taylor and T. McPherson, Corson avenue, Beckenham, the Marist Club followed an eight-mile trail laid by J. O’Brien and E. Watson. The run included some hill work over Murray-Aynsley Hill.
