GOUGH, GOUGH, AND HAMER SPORTS CLUB
* The annual general meeting of the social club of Gough, Gough, and Hamer, Ltd., was held recently, and social fixtures for the coming year were discussed. It was reported that the cricket club had a successful season, finishing third equal in the Junior D Grade Suburban Association's competition. Cricket and tennis matches had been played, at Darfield in March, and a successful dance was held in October. It was also announced that a hockey team had been entered in the Junior B grade competition, and that a challenge had been accepted by the Vacuum Oil Company to a game of football on the first Saturday in June. .It was decided to hold a series of dances. The following officers were elected: Patron. Mr T. T; Gough; president, Mr E. C. Gough; vice-presidents, Mr H. Hamer. Miss M. B. Fife. Messrs L. S. Johns. F. E. Dornwell: committee. Misses N. Young. J. Maine. D. J. Smith. B. Thompson. I. Rimmer. H. Webster. Messrs J. Bain. E. Uhrbom. S. J. Bultitude. J. Rodgers, R. Bagot, J. Ainger; secretary and treasurer. Mr A. R. Guthrey.
