AUSTRALIAN DAVIS CUP TEAM
PRACTICE GAMES AT MEXICO CITY, (Received April 21,10.10 pan.) MEXICO CITY, April 20. The Australian Davis Cup team _ played .practice"matches in which J. Bromwich met V. B. McGrath and, J. H. .Crawford met A. K. Quist for an hour each. .The players remarked" that the sunshine made it feel like . home. The large gallery paid keen, attention to the styles of Bromwicfi* and McGrath. Mr C. E. Sproule, the captain, said the players were in good shape and could be, expected to. become, accustomed to-the higher bounces of the ball caused by the.high altitude. Many of the shots which went during the practice matches would have been inside if the games had been played at sea-leveL : ' Members of the team are enjoying (Spanish-Mexican -fare at - the Majestic, the city's newest hotel. The practice games were relatively light and no scores were taken. '"
