CRICKET
COMPETITION MATCHES NOT PLAYED
No matches in either the Canterbury Cricket Association's grade competitions or in the Christchurch and Suburban Association's competitions were held on Satr urday, because of the wet and blustery weather. Several members of the various teams arrived at their allotted grounds, but as it was obvious that the full teams were not going to appear the players did not wait for any jime at the grounds.
NORTH CANTERBURY SUBASSOCIATION
Wintry weather interfered with matches, in the North Canterbury Cricket SubAssociation's Morgan Pennant compete tion on Saturday afternoon. Rangiora B won from Kaiapoi A by default. Following are other results:— Rangiora A v. Oxford A win by six wickets was secured by. Rangiora A in its match with Oxford, at Rangiora. The visiting team was dismissed for 91 runs (D. Wilder 25, R. Bluett 24, D. Grant 13, J. Webber 10 not but), and Rangiora made 106 for the loss of only four wickets. H. Sail scored 32, F. Devp lin 22, P. Roberts 19, and C. Devlin 16. Bowling for Rangiora, H. Kinley took four wickets for 27 runs, and R. Pulley two for six. For Oxford, Wilder took two for 20.
RESULTS AT AUCKLAND
(PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEOBAM.) AUCKLAND, February 14. The second day's play in the Auckland Cricket Association's matches concluded in wet, blustery weather. Results are:— • Young Men's Christian Association 233 drew with Ponsonby three for 158 (Cotterall not out 60, Snedden 49). Grafton 169 and 44 for no wickets beat University 153 on the first innings (Bush 43: Cowie, six for 61; Felts, four for 47). Parnell 330 beat King's Old Boys 150 (Pearson 33; McCoy, four for 44). North Shore 233 for six declared beat Eden 109 and 191 for one fPostles 52, Carr son not out 76, Weir not out 51).
FOUR GAMES AT DUNEDIN
(PRESS ABSOCIATIOH TBLEOJtAM.) DUNEDIN, February 14. The senior cricket competition was continued yesterday in showery weather. Carisbrook A 414 beat Grange 180 (Elmes 64; Munro, <seven for 60), and three for 153 (Chettleburgh 82 not out). Albion 257 beat Kaikorai 253 (Talbot 80). Old Boys 182 (Macassey, six for 43, and three for 70) beat Dunedin 149 and 88 (Mahoney, three for 12; Groves, three for '25). University 154 (Ibbotson 54; Lambert, four for 54) beat Carisbrook B 153 and five for 112 declared.
