APPOINTMENT OF NEW VICAR

CURE OF ST. MICHAEL'S ENGLISH PRIEST ACCEPTS POSITION The Rev. C. E. B. Muschamp, senior assistant priest at All Saints' Church, Exmouth, England, has accepted the cure of St. Michael's and All Angels, rendered vacant by the retirement of Canon Charles Perry, whose death i"' Sydney occurred soon afterwards. It was announced at the morning service at the church yesterday that Mr Muschamp had been offered the cure by Bishop West-Watson, and had accepted. Mr Muschamp, who is 34 years old, is a son of the Rev. Evelyn George Muschamp, of Launceston, Tasmania. He was born a*b Wing, Hertfordshire, and was educated at the Hobart Grammar School and the University of Tasmania. After serving as master at St. Peter's College, Adelaide, he went to St. Stephen's House, Oxford, and graduated B.A. In 1927 he was ordained deacon, and in the following year priest. He is a learned theologian, and was recently offered the pr-incipalship of the Theological College at Colombo. Mr Muschamp, who is married with three young children, will not arrive in New Zealand for some time yet.
