PIGEON FLYING
OLD BIRD RACE FROM TE ARAROA The East Christchurch Flyinx: Pigeea Club concluded the old bird season with a race from Te Araroa. The birds were liberated at 6 a.m. in fine weather, but flew into rain. No birds arrived horae as the dav, and only six birds -were clocked in the following day. The winner -»£ t=e race was G. MacDougall's All Alone, i «uca flew the distance of 514 miles 1517 yacds air line in 24hr 6min 19sec. after deducting the hours of darkness. Results: — Yds a rata. G. MacDougalVs All Alone .. «26 J.
