NEW ZEALAND CLUB TROPHY MEETING AT RICCARTON On Saturdav, the New Zealand Whippet Racing Club held its annual trophy meeting at Bushey Park, Riccarton. when good entries were received and some close racing was witnessed. The following were the results:— DEANS NURSERY FLAT HANDICAP; 100 yards. R. Lee's Allways (3yds) .. ..1 Mrs L. H. Crook's Brian Bosco (3yds) 2 Mrs M. Ayres's Juanita (Byds) .. 3 Won by a short half length, with the next dog three lengths away. All started. Time, Bsec. FENDALTON MIDDLE-WEIGHT FLAT HANDICAP; 200 yards. J. Middleton's Royal Shot (14yds) .. 1 Mrs F. E. Ockwell's Bingen Star (14yds) .. .. ..2 E. G. Musson's Red Dragon (14yds) .. 3 Won by two lengths, with a head between second and third. All started. Time, 12 3-10 sec. HAMILTON IMPROVERS' FLAT HANDICAP; 200 yards. First Heat—Pantehon (14yds) 1, Heroic (14yds) 2, Wild Mac (14yds) 3. Won by two lengths, with half that distance between the next two dogs. Hope was scratched. Time, 11 4-ssec. Second Heat—Happy Boy (14yds) 1. Bromley Chief (14yds) 2, Te Maunga (14 yds) 3.
