FRENCH RAILWAYS LENT £40,000,000
LONDON BANKERS' ASSISTANCE (Received January 31, 8.41 p.m.) LONDON, January 30. A syndicate of London bankers is lending to French railways £40,000,000 at 3| per cent., repayable in 10 months for assistance to the French Treasury in financing railway deficits, and to strengthen the French exchange stabilisation fund.
