Proposals for civic control of the supply are being investigated by a special committee of the council, under the chairmanship of Sir Hugh Acland, and it has been claimed that if these proposalsare adopted, a satisfactory supply milk will be ensured and those eri-' gaged in the industry will be placed ' in a sounder financial position,'with an assured price for their milk and the practical elimination of bad debts.
