ELECTRICITY SCHEME FOR N.S.W.
COST TO BE £ 12,000,000 (Received January 15, 2 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 14. The New South Wales Cabinet is taking the preliminary steps for launching an electricity scheme, the largest in Australia, costing £12,000,000, for harnessing streams for hydro-electric undertakings throughout the country and also for the electrification of railways for a distance of 10P more miles from and to Sydney, : linking cities like Newcastle, Lithgow, Goulburn, and the north and south coasts.
