FEWER DEATHS ON ROAD IN AMERICA
(Received January 14, 9.10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, January 13. The Census Bureau announced that motor accidents in 1936 resulted in the death of 9599 persons, 178 less than in the previous year. A sharp drop was shown in New York and Chicago because of intensive safety campaigns.
