DESIGNS ON BRITISH EMPIRE
GERMAN DESIRE FOR PEACE DOUBTED LONDON, January 13. "The ultimate aim of Nazi Germany is to split the British Empire," was the warning of Sir Malcolm Robertson, a former member of the Diplomatic Service, when speaking at Leeds. . . . , "My firm conviction is that tne ultimate objective of Germany is the British Empire, and she will not be content till she gets it," he declared. "Germany is only repeating her Moroccan tactics of pre-war days. If Germany desires peace, why is she pulling in her belt to buy raw materials for war? The only hope of peace is in Britain arming quickly enough to insist on the observance of the league covenant."
