DEVONPORT DOCKYARD DISMISSALS
OFFICIALS UNABLE TO GIVE REASON (Received January 14, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 13. Officials of the Transport and General Workers' Union interviewed Vice-Admiral A. L. Snagge, chief of the Devonport dockyard, and Mr A. Nicholls, construction manager, on behalf of the men dismissed from the yards. Neither was able to give the reason for the men's dismissal. Both said that they had acted on instructions from the Admiralty.
