RANGIORA PUBLIC CEMETERY
TO THE EDITOH Or THE PRESS. , sir,—As a ratepayer and propertyowner of the west end of Rangiora, I wish to draw the attention of residents of Rangiora to the scandalous proposal to start a cemetery in a residential area Nearly half of our town is already old cemeteries. Surely the County Council and. Rangiora Borough Council have a little more respect for the town snd residents than ixy start another in one of the best residential areas, just over the west belt on the Oxford road. The town is going that way. Why repeat the mistake that was made itvthe early days? The secret way the business was carried out—no report being allowed shows that the councils concerned knew they were not playing the game. —Yours, etc., H. J. A. BENJES. January 14, 1937.
