"A BRIGHTER 1937"
STANLEY M'KAY'S "GAIETIES" A complete new revue, "A Brighter 1937." will be staged to-night at St. James' Theatre by the popular Stanley McKay's "Gaieties" Company. The new production gives unlimited scope for the fun-making Joe Lawman, Elton Black. Geo. Corelli. and the personality girl. Stella Lamond. In the sketch. "Little Shirley's Birthday Party,'' Joe appears as a precocious little girl—a burlesque of the famous Shirley Temple. Others prominent in the caste are Cy Rees. ukulele expert; the Hilo Duo. Hawaiian entertainers, in new numbers; the Yodelling Newtons; Elvy Ferguson, solo violinist: the Warrens, tumblers; and the Seven Flying Martinettis. The first matinee will be given to-morrow at 2.30. Reserves are at the D.I.C. and day sales at St. James' confectionery.
