AUSTRALIANS COMPETE AT MORRINSVILLE (razss ASSOCIATION TBLIOBAm.) HAMILTON, January 11. Over 6000 attended the first meeting by the Morrinsville Sports 'Club at the new banked claytrack speedway on Saturday, at which visiting Australian and leading Dominion cash cyclists appeared. This meeting completed a circuit of three meetings in the Waikato. Fitzgerald was the only Australian to impress, performing well on the fast track. During the circuit, Newlove (Canterbury), Sheat (Te Aroha), and Thomas (Auckland) held their own against the Australian team of five. The circuit 4s now definitely established as the result of Saturday’s meeting. For the three meetings the prize-money amounted to £670.
