GERMAN CLIMBERS RESCUED IN WEAK CONDITION BERLIN, January 7. " Local guides and 50 men from an alpine regiment reached the two young mountaineers who have been stranded on a ledge 3000 ft above Koenigsie, overlooking Herr .Hitler’s retreat at Berchtesgaden, since January 1, through being cut off by avalanches. . 1 The rescuers found them exhausted and suffering from frost-bite and lack of food. They will be hauled -to the top of the mountain and transported to the valley on stretchers.
