NEW P. AND O. LINERS
♦ IMPROVED FACILITIES FOR PASSENGERS (Received January 8, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 7. The P. and O. Company’s liners, Stratheden and Strathallen, are similar to the Strathmore, but new features for increasing the comfort of passengers include a first-class swimming bath placed on the promenade deck, giving more first-class deck space and enabling a larger tourist class promenade arid dancing space. Both vessels will have a single funnel, nine feet higher than the Strathmore’s, which will improve their appearance.
