TO TUB EDITOR OF TUB PRESS. Sir—l Should like lo answer the letter of “25/1822” in your paper of January 6. The writer would not pen such ’a letter without being sure of his ground, yet I wonder if he is as correct as he would have us believe. I am one of these "Imperial women. I was attached to the New Zealand Expeditionary Force nursing for four and a quarter years, and my souvenir is to be P.U. The New Zealand authorities did give me full treatment required certainly, but. that is all. I lost the pension granted by the Imperial authorities when I came to live here, >but , I did not mind that. I did not do my bit in . the war with the idea of getting all I could afterwards, but now*'-since-my husband was turned off his farm penniless, I have to keep him as well as mvself and child. What has “25/1822” to say to that? My husband is not able to go and do a day’s work owing to wounds, for which he receives.a very meagre pension. I have lived in New Zealand for II years, and have not even been invited to attend an Anzac reunion ; or service, so I am certainly not one of those favoured “Imperial worrien.” —Yours, etc ■ > .
