• j, . • . PRESENTATIONS TO MR AND MRS F.“ HANNAFORD In hpnoijr of their recent marriage and iaview, of,their removal to Son.thbridge, ;Mr and Mrs F. D.. Hannaford were entertained at a largely attended social evening by, the residents of Sedgemere. Dance music was played by Lambie’s orchestra,,, and Mr, C. Marsh wasVinaster of cere'nioriies. At cards the successful players were Mesdames C; H. Morton’ and H; Schnelle, and Messrs A. H. Duff and J. Anderson. . After supper, Mr J. T. Parkin, chairman of the Hall Committee, spoke of the good work done by Mr .Hannaford a number of. years as secretary 'to the '.Hall Committee, f and of the regard in which he and Mrs Hannaford were held. From the Hall Committee arid residents, Mr Parkin presented the guests with a haridsome clock bearing a suitable inscription, : and.,conveyed good wjshes . for, their -future health and happiness. ; Mr P,~ R. Stretz presented a crystal jug and set of tumblers from the local bachelors’ and spinsters' committee, of which Mr Hannaford had, been a member for a long period.
