MR NASH’S PROGRAMME IN BRITAIN
TIME FULLY OCCUPIED (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) LONDON, November 28. Mr W. Nash, New Zealand Minister for' Marketing, has had practically every minute of his time occupied since his arrival in England. Many people have called upon him to make themselves known, and Mr Nash has met several prominent officials at luncheons. This week he was the guest of Sir Howard d’Egville, secretary of the Empire Parliamentary Association and of the Reciprocal Trade Federation of Great Britain. He also visited Tooley street, where he met officials of the New Zealand Dairy Sales Division, and with Mr R. S. Forsyth, London manager of the New Zealand Meat Producer's’ Board, he went through the Smithfield meat market. A visit was also paid to British Industries House Mr Nash is to meet the Overseas Settlement Board at the Dominion Office, and he will be the guest of the Port of London Authority at luncheon. On the same evening he will preside at a diner to be given by the Royal Institute of International Affairs, at Which Mr R. A. Edeh, Foreign Secretary, will be the principal guest. Later he is to go to Sheffield with Mr W. J. Jordan, the High Commissioner. to declare open the reciprocal trade campaign there inaugurated by the Dairy Sales Division. Two days will be spent in Sheffield, where many prominent business men are anxious to meet Mr Nash. Before leaving the city the Minister and the High Commissioner Will be entertained by the Lord Mayor.
