MORE BOMBERS FOR EGYPT
STRENGTH OF ARMY TO BE DOUBLED (Received December 25, 9.5 p.m.) CAIRO, December 24. The Minister for War has been allotted £300,000 in the draft budget for the purchase of 12 bombers from Britain, bringing up the Egyptian air strength to 50 machines. The Minister also proposes to double the strength of the Egyptian army from 10,000 to 20,000.
