CIVIL AVIATION IN BRITAIN
BOARD TO CONTROL SMALLER MACHINES | (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) J RUGBY, December 22. The formation of an Air Registration Board to take over the control of civil aircraft from the Air Ministry is almost complete. The board will have control of the maintenance in an airworthy condition of all civil aircraft to 10-seater capacity. The Air Ministry will be responsible for airliners carrying more than 10 passengers. The board is formed from the joint aviation advisory committees of Lloyd's register and the British Corporation register. There are at present 1782 civil aircraft in Britain and Northern Ireland on the register. ' '
