RECORD EMPIRE AIR MAILS
—♦ — I THIRTY PER CENT. INCREASE ON LAST CHRISTMAS (Received December 23, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 22. The Postmaster-General (Mr G. C. Tryon) announces that Christmas air mails to the Empire were a record. There were sent approximately 630,000 letters, which weighed more than 10 tons, an increase of 30 per cent, compared with last year.
