CHRISTMAS BONUS
HOSPITAL BOAUD TO MAKE DISTRIBUTION A Christmas bonus is to be given to every person on the list of the benevolent committee of the North Canter-
bury Hospital Board receiving regular relief. Three hundred and sixty-eight persons will receive the bonus, at the rate of £1 for each adult and 5s for , each other member in a family affected by the relief. The cost to the board will be £556. The secretary to the board, Mr W. S. Wharton, reported that it was the Government's wish that the annual bonus should be given. The cost to the board last year was £944, when 667 persons received the bonus, and the cost this
year for 368 persons would be £556. The distribution would not affect persons who had ceased to receive relief since December 12, nor those who had received temporary, casual, or minor relief. __^________
