STAFF SMOKE CONCERT
To mark the end of a successful trading year, the staff of the Christchurch branch of Todd Motors, Ltd., held a smoke concert in Dixieland. Mr J. Maybury, manager of the radio department, presided and there were about 50 present, including representatives of several kindred organisations. Mr C. Holmes, of the J. Ilott Advertising Company, proposed the toast of Todd Motors. Ltd.. and Mr A. T. Barrow, sales manager, replied. Another toast honoured was that of "The Visitors." proposed by Mr H. Keenan service manager, and replied to by Mr S. Harris (Prudential Assurance Company). Several speakers spoke in high praise of Mr Barrow's work for the company. Items were given b"" Messrs C. Morris, R. Lamb and Down.
