Instructions were given to the secretary of the Addington Public Library by' the committee at its last meeting to recover by legal action the value of books not returned, and the secretary's action in pressing for the return of overdue doo.' was endorsed. Mr J. E. Colechin presided. The secretary (Mr R. W. Flutoff) reported that the membership this year showed an increase of 87 over that of last year. During the month 39 subscribers had renewed their subscriptions, and 18 new subscribers had joined. Books placed on the shelves numbered 59. The sum of £2O was allotted for the purchase of new books during December.
