POPE TO BROADCAST FROM HIS BED
o CHRISTMAS EVE MESSAGE LONDON, December 21. The Pope will broadcast on Christmas Eve, according to a report from Vatican City. He will speak from his bed at 11.30 a.m., Greenwich time. He will probably make an appeal for PG3CG. The Pope’s broadcast will be on a wavelength of 19.84 metres. It will be in Italian, followed by translations in English and French if sufficient stations announce their intention of relaying the address. Tt is reported from Vatican City that the Pope had a restful night. His condition is satisfactory. It is denied that his Holiness fainted on Sunday. _____
