PERSONAL Miss A. Madden and Miss S. Mouritsen will leave Lyttelton this evening on a holiday trip to Auckland. Mr and Mrs W. Morten, of Petone, are arriving this evening on a visit to Mr and Mrs A. Morten, Winchester street. The Town Clerk (Mr F. Hobbs), who has been a patient in St. George’s Hospital for several weeks, has returned to his home. Billiards A flying-fifty billiards tournament held at the Lyttelfon Club on Monday night for Christmas hampers attracted 53 entries. Ten prizes were awarded, the winners of the first three being J. Wyatt 1, F. Mills 2, A. Mason 3. Miniature Rifle Club The annual presentation of trophies won during the season was held by the Lyttelton Miniature Rifle Club in the Drill Hall on Monday evening. Mr A*. T. E. Miller, president of the club, presented the trophies, as follows: Club championship. Lester' 1 ' Cup and miniature, Adams Cup and miniature, and senior Bullseye Shield, J. Wyatt; junior championship. Coleman Cup and miniature, Gardiner Cup, junior Bullseye Shield, and Mr F. E. Sutton s trophy, Eric Whitford; president’s trophy and Novice Cup. J. Whitford.
