FREEZING WORKS DISPUTE
“GO-SLOW” POLICY STARTED AT AUCKLAND AUCKLAND, December 22. Negotiations began to-night in the dispute between the freezing workers, who started on a “go slow” policy at Westfield, Southdown, and Horoliu this morning, and the employers. It is estimated that the tactics employed to-day resulted in an output reduction of something like 60 per cent, at the works, and it was said that if the policy were continued over a long period the export side of the industry would suffer a serious setStocks for the retail trade will not be affected.
