♦ NEW BRIGHTON CLUB EVENING MEETING HELD AT RAWHITI The New Brighton Amateur Athletic Club held an evening sports meeting a the Rawhiti Sports Ground. The events were, run off as quickly as possible, bu the last the youths' high jump, was finshed in driving sleet. In the short spnn events the number of entries was small but the jumping attracted the averag number of competitors. Times were, or the average, slower than usual. H. Cook, last year's winner, again.secured the 440 yards men's flat champion, ship. Cook immediately went into the leac and made the pace, increasing his lead towards the finish, and won easily by abou 10 yards. There were seven starters, a Wayman won the men's high jump championship with a height of 4ft 7iin. Results were as follow*,:— 100 iVards Primary Schoolboys, under 1. I years-P. Dwyer 1, E.
