Miss Margaret Holdgate (Otipua road), who has been a member of the Baptist Church choir and Sunday School for some years, and who is to be married on Saturday, was entertained at the manse on Monday evening by members of church organisations. Mr and Mrs Purcell Hunter-Weston ("Hunterslea," Albury), who have been staying in Dunedin, have arrived to stay with Mrs W. G. Taylor (Selwyn street) before returning home. Miss Marion Hay (Wai-iti road) has left on a visit to her sister, Mrs Clifford Thompson (Dannevirke). Mrs Henry Reid and her granddaughter, of Dunedin, who intend to live in Timaru, arrived yesterday to stay with Mrs Ernest Howden (Park lane). Miss Kathleen Kerr (Geraldine) is staying with Mrs R. Raines (Bidwill street) The break-up of the Kiwi Kindergarten took place yesterday morning, when, owing to the threatened outbreak of infantile paralysis, the usual displays were omitted.
