AT THE SHOW

VICEREGAL PARTY PRESENT The Governor-General, Lord Galway, and Lady Galway, who arrived in Christchurch from Wellington yesterday morning, were the guests of honour at the Royal Show at Addington yesterday. After lunch, their Excellencies, who were attended by Captain A. G. W. Heber-Percy, watched with interest the riding and jumping contests. . Lady Galway wore a brown crepe de chine frock, patterned in beige in irregular lines, and made with a yoke of beige, similarly patterned in brown. Her plain brown coat was three-quar-ter length, and she wore a- widebrimmed beige straw hat trimmed with beige and brown ribbons. With their Excellencies in the Vice-Regal box were Mr Thomas Stevenson, president of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association, and Mrs Stevenson, the Hoq. W. Lee Martin, Minister for Agriculture, Mrs and Miss Lee Martin, Mr L. J. Wild (Feilding), president of the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand, and Mrs Wild, and Mr John Par lane, vice-pre-sident of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association.
