governor-general accepts OFFICE The Governor-General, Lord Galway, has consented to become patron of the New Zealand Red Cross Society. Since the society succeds the New Zealand branch of the British Bed
Cross and Order of St. John, a new Dominion Council will be set up by Ihe New Zealand Red Cross and the Order of St. John. The council will appoint a committee to administer the , Great War funds. The old society and » the Order of St John in New Zealand will be kept in being, and will work side by side.
