VICTIMS OF CRASH IN AIR RACE
PROVISION FOR DEPENDENTS
JOHANNESBURG, October 6. Mr I. W. Schlesinger, the South African millionaire and donor of the £ 10,000 prize for the EnglandJohannesburg air race, has granted £2OOO each to Mrs Findlay and Mrs Morgan, the widows of the airmen who were killed when Mr Ken Waller’s aeroplane crashed at Abercorn. The remaining £2OOO will be placed in trust for the benefit of their children.
Mr Schlesinger said he was not downhearted at the result of the race. It would prove a fillip to civil aviation.
