NEW PLYMOUTH, October 7Eight year* after bo bad absconded from ball at Christchurch, William Joseph Fox, known In Taranaki as John Baden Welsh, via arrested at Whengamomona early this week. Me appeared in court at New Plymouth today to answer the original charge, that at Christchurcl on February *. I(te8, he stole a trotting sulky and harness valued at £l2 from Samuel Be»n *Fox then called himself John Blake Keenan. After his release eon ball, Fox disappeared. He visited Australia, but returned to New Zealand, and for sol - years had been managing a ,arm at Whangamomtma. , Fox’s employer spoke highly of mm, and offered to retain his service* counsel said.
