TYNESIDE UNEMPLOYED MARCH TO LONDON
PETITION FOR WORK IN THE SHIPYARDS
LONDON, October 5,
Carrying an oak casket containing a petition with 11,572 signatures pleading for work in Jarrow shipyards and heavy industries on the Tyne, which is being presented to Parliament, 200 unemployed have started to march to London. . The Bishop of Jarrow blessed those taking part in the march, who are accompanied by medical students, at cook, an(J ft barber.
