The marriage ofVVera Marian, see* ond daughter of W. D. Ramsay, North Avon road*. Richmond, to Albert Herman Thomas, only son of Mr H. A. BenJeß Southbrook, was celebrated recently' at the Richmond Methodist Church'by the Rev. J. C. Draper. Mr L. C. Quane was the Organlsf. "Tv ■ Pink cherry blossoms and spring flowers arranged in the. church made an effective setting for. the bride’s frock of ivory crepe satin*, which was made with a square neckline, Medici Collar of lace, and a trained skirt. The frock was relieved with diagonal tucking, and a chenille fringe edged the train. ; Her veil Of .silk tulle Was arranged 'from a wreath of orange blossom, and ih her bouquet lilies were combined with freeslas, crchlds, and carnations. Miss Kathleen King and Miss Nancy Ramsay, who attended as bridesmaids* wore trained frocks of pink needle* run lace, the bodices being trimmed with Velvet buttons to match stitched belts of velvet, , and Medici collars softened the necklines. 'Their headdresses were composed of .sweet peas, and they carried abutilons, camellias, and tulips to tone. Mr Ramsay Iscorted his daughter, and the bridegroom was attended by Mr H. Jones ,as best man, and Mr J. Wood as groomsman. As the bridal party left* the church a guard of honour was formed by the East Belt girl guides of which the bride ,was a former captain. , At the reception held at thd Winter Garden, the guests were received- by the bride’s mother, Who wore a brown tailored suit of Wool georgette, a cream georgette blouse* and a Bangkok straw hat to match. She carried orange*shaded flowers. .The bride* groom’s mother wot-e a frock of black embossed velvet trimmed with black satin, a blaCk satin co&t, and A hat to match.
