SUNDAY AND DAYLIGHT TRIPS
HOLIDAY SAILINGS BY STEAMER EXPRESS
The Christmas and New Year timetable for the steamer express service will include two Sunday trips and two daylight trips. There is a possibility that the Wahine will be available to replace the Maori, and in this case passengers booked for the Maori will be allotted accommodation on the Wahine. Notification of the change will be given by the Union Steam Ship Company* and passengers are asked to call at the office if the change is made in order to assist the company in making new arrangements. The booking lists are now open and indications are that the booking will be heavier than for some years. The Sunday sailings from Lyttelton will be made on December 20 by the Maori and December 27 by the Rangatira. The daylight trips will be made on December 23 and 24, both by the Rangatira. The ordinary timetable will also be run.
Additional sailings will also be made by the Tcmahine, and the Rangatira will run excursions to Picton on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
