AN APPEAL FOR USED STAMPS
to «» KuiTos o» rat rstss Sir,—l should be very grateful for kind gifts of used postage stamps, of any denomination, including Id and id New Zealand and English stamps. They will be sent to the Queen’s Hospital for Children, London. This hospital Is the largest for children in the East End of London. , The hospital has a stamp collectors cot amongst the 204 beds, 44 of the beds being at a convalescent home by the sea. There are no reserve funds for maintenance purposes. Children admitted in 1935 numbered 2085. Casualty and out-patient attendances m 1935 were 102,984. Money received from sale of stamps in 1935 amounted to £O7O, W. Barnett and Company, Chemists, Cathedral square, and J. Ballantyne and Company, Ltd., Cashel street, have very Kindly consented to receive stamps. At Ballantynes the stamps may be left at the enquiry counter.
