HORNBY BRANCH The' Hornby bratfth of the WomenX institute held its monthly meeting.

It was decided to hold a fancy dress party for children in November. The results, of competitions judged by Mesdafn.es Rugg, Taylor, and F, Scott were as follows; —Vase of flowera: Mrs Smith I. Mrs Lawson 2, Mrs Kingsford 3. Shortbread; Mrs Lawson 1, Mrs Hepburn 2 and 3. Scones: Mrs Hepburn 1, Mrs Lawson 2, Mrs Kingsford S. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames IX Mackie, Smith, Cannon, and Woodgate.
