ST. NINIAN’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
In the annual session report presented at the annual meeting of St. Ninian’s Presbyterian Church, Riccarton, on Monday evening, the clerk, Mr R. Hepburn, referred to the loss the congregation had suffered by the departure for Auckland of the Rev. J. A. Allan and Mrs Allan. The Rev. H.' li. Blamires had acted during the vacancy and had proved very acceptable to the congregation. The report also recorded with regret the death of Mrs W. Edginton, former president of the Ladies’Guild, The management committee’s report, presented by Mr J. B. Dowling, stated that the year had seen a check in the decline in revenue, which had. occurred over the last few years,, but. the amount received from the goodwill offering was insufficient to meet the interest charges. Mr. R." E.. Batten presented the financial statement Messrs James Brown, D. Swanston, ; and C. C. Wilson were re-elected memhers of the management committee, and one further vacancy .was left to V - the committee to fill. Mr J. J. Howie -Was re-elected auditor.
