TO STUDY DOMINION’S LEGISLATION
VISIT OF AUSTRALIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS
SYDNEY, August 18.
If the session finishes in time eight members of the Federal Parliament intend to spend the Christmas holidays in New Zealand to examine the progress of the Labour Government’s legislation. Sir Frederick Stewart said: “By that time it should be possible to estimate whether Labour’s advanced policy is a success or a failure. We should be able to glean at first hand some knowledge of the practicability of such measures, as, for instance, the 40-hour week.”
